Friendship Card

Today's Use It Challenge called for an old scrapbook diecut, an old piece of patterned paper, a tool or technique I used to use all the time and something bought on clearance.  The patterned paper, the die-cut flower and the journaling block are from My Mind's Eye, part of a gift kit from Linda in the last days of Las Vegas Artstamps. I made the background paper using an old standby--Kaleidocolor melon ink brayered on glossy paper.  I bought the fibers on clearance from Tuesday Morning.  The stamps are from Rubbernecker (flower border) and Great Impressions (sentiment). I loved this "old, neglected and thrify challenge"; it was a crafty stroll through my stash and down memory lane.

Create Eccentric Art

For today's Saturday's Workout challenge to make a crazy background I collaged the wax paper and Press 'n' Seal I use to protect book pages as I'm altering them onto sandwich wrap that protects my work surface as I stamp and paint.  I stamped and embossed the collaged sheet, roughly following Trish's Worksheet Wonders tutorial . I also played with blow pens from a teacher supply store to make the yellow backgrounds onto which I stamped Create Collage (Hero Arts) and eccentric art (Paper Artsy), as Art is today's Lots to Do challenge. 

Thanks a Melon

Today's Daring Cardmaker's Dare was "Feeling Fruity".  The stamp is from Stampin' Up and the background paper, which I found it on clearance at HomeGoods, is from Rossi. I'm loving the inspiration I'm getting from these challenges. 

Prayer is the Key

This week's Inspire Me Thursday challenge is "key".  I made this 4.25" x 5.5" card using Making Memories (Providence magnetic alphabet), Carmen's Veranda (key and background) and Stamper's Anonymous (door) stamps.  I couldn't find the original source of the quotation, so if anyone knows I'd appreciate your sharing it. 

Butterfly Card

Today's Crazy Amigo Challenge was butterflies.  I made a small card using a Mirkwood template, K&Co. embossed paper and Carmen's Veranda stamp. 

Apple of My Eye Card

Today's Wednesday Stamper Challenge was to use any type of transfer and at least one stamp.  I used a contact paper transfer of a magazine clipping following  Karen's instructions.  The stamp is a retired Stampin' Up, which I colored with pencils, using a colorless blender pencil instead of Gamsol. The corrugated cardboard is from a coffee cup wrapper.  Reuse! and remember Sunday is Earth Hour.

This too shall pass card

Today's By Hand challenge was flowers. I finally found a use for all those dryer sheets I've been saving for someday by using Anita's dryer sheet technique.The card's interior reads:
