I don't remember when I first saw it, but Tom Phillips' Humument was the book that finally gave me the A! Ha! I needed to take my first altered books class. My classmates had to hold my hand as I ripped out the first page, but that's another story! Two artists on the Yahoo Altered Books group have posted their Tom Phillips inspired altered books. Graham Rawle: Woman's World: A Novel
A funky gluebook-style novel that almost didn't make it past the 50 page mark, but then there was an interesting twist that's got me reading to the end.
