Copyfight: University Press Refuses to Be Fair Use Guinea Pig

Copyright questions abound on altered books and related lists. "Fair Use Fighter" Siva Vaidhyanathan, posted a copy of The Chronicle of Higher Education article describing why an entire anthology was recalled after a copyright fair-use challenge. After reading my last post on copyright blues, someone on the An Art A Day Yahoo list, pointed me to this decision in favor of an artist who photographed Barbie in parody. I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV, so don't ask me. Now go forth and create...lawfully.
